Rhopalothrix diadema - red
Rhopalothrix diadema - red
About the Design
This print was inspired by the ant Rhopalothrix diadema. This ant is exceedingly rare— a nest of this species has never been discovered, and a live worker has never been seen. The patterns on the print show strange hairs that cover the face of Rhopalothrix diadema, which look like inverted bowls of broad, flat spoons. The function of these hairs is unknown.
